Laurie Lynn (Russell) Barrett

59, Vevay, IN, passed away at Indiana University Health Hospital on July 9, 2015.

Born in Batesville, IN on July 8, 1956 to John F. and Rudy L. Russell. She was employed at Swiss Villa nursing home in Vevay, and then at Dorman Automotive in Warsaw, KY for over 20 years before becoming her parents full time caregiver.

Laurie loved spending time with her family and friends, and caring for her father. She was known as a generous and kind person who was loved by all.

Laurie was preceded in death by her mother, Rudy Russell and sister, Melody Smith.

She is survived by her loving children; Maraiah Russell (Heath Hurst) and Sarah Russell of Fort Wayne, and Zachary Barrett of East Enterprise, Grandchildren; Lilly, Luke, and Chloe, Sisters; Dawn (Ed) Ransdell of Vevay and Cindy (Jim) Borton of Tipp City, OH, Father Fred Russell of Vevay, and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the residence of Fred Russell, 5365 Tardy Ford Road, Vevay, IN.
